Facts 

As Full Fact identified Johnson was wrong. The fact-check agency pointed out that “This is not supported by the latest evidence, which shows that 61% of admissions in the first half of December 2021 were unvaccinated people. Around 90% had not received a booster dose.”  

Verdict

Johnson got his figures wrong.  It looks like on this occasion it may have been a genuine mistake (something which can by no means be taken for granted when it comes to the Prime Minister)  since Johnson had got the figures correct when speaking about people who had not received boosters a few days earlier. 

We approached Mr Johnson’s office, the Cabinet Office and the No 10 Press Office to give them a chance to comment, but received no response.
