Kwasi Kwarteng completed his opening statement announcing the new UK Growth Plan at around 10 AM.

Philps tweeted at 10:17 AM. By 11:55 AM sterling had crashed to a 37-year low.

Poor timing.

We emailed Chris Philp’s office offering him the chance to respond. The email was received, but no reply.
