An analysis by Channel 4 FactCheck established that by January 6 2022, nearly five months later, just one family had been resettled and granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK through the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS).

Verdict

Boris Johnson miserably failed to deliver his promise.  His misleading statement remains on the Hansard record in defiance of the Ministerial Code.

We approached Mr Johnson’s office, the Cabinet Office and the No 10 Press Office to give them a chance to comment, but no reply.
