The same day Rishi Sunak told GB News this: "Right now, our number one challenge is getting a grip on the number of illegal migrants coming that’s the thing I want to focus on first."

Verdict

Cynical dishonesty from Prime Minister Sunak. He  told GB News that his “number one challenge” was dealing with “illegal migrants.” He told BBC that the “number one challenge” was inflation. 

Note how the Prime Minister is telling far right TV channel GB News one thing and telling the more centrist and mainstream BBC a different story.  

In defence of Rishi Sunak, he is far from the only politician to have told different stories to separate audiences.

 We emailed Rishi Sunak’s office and Downing Street offering them the chance to respond. The email was received, but no reply.
