There are “no circumstances” in which the prime minister will ask Brussels to delay Brexit beyond Halloween
“Senior government source”, to The Independent
The source told The Independent: “He is not going to go to Brussels at the behest of parliament to ask for an extension. It is not going to happen — categorically. He is not going to do it by email. He is not going to do it by phone call. He is not going to do it by text. He is not going to do it by tweet.”
Boris Johnson asked for an extension by letter.
As so often, the anonymous “senior government source” turned out to be talking nonsense.
