Liz Truss and Kwazi Kwarteng’s mini budget had sent financial markets into a tailspin, causing sterling to collapse, shattering international confidence in Britain and forcing up interest rates.

Verdict

Truss was not protecting the economy. She and her Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng placed  it in jeopardy. She was talking nonsense. 

We emailed Liz Truss’ office offering her the chance to respond. The email was received, but no reply.
