According to the UN World Investment Report from 2021, the UK is currently ranked 16th for Foreign Direct Investment, down by five places from 2019 when it was ranked 11th. 

Verdict 

Boris Johnson was misleading Conservative party conference when he told them that the UK is the number one destination for foreign direct Investment. His claim was  a fabrication. The Prime Minister’s speech to Tory Party conference repays study because he deluged his Tory audience with lies, falsehoods, fabrications and false and misleading statements. The Tory membership, and warmly applauding cabinet ministers, did not seem to mind.
