Dominic Raab claimed that the UK Government has been “worried about Russian money for years”. Yet the Conservative Party has taken £2million worth of Russian-linked donations since Boris Johnson became Prime Minister. 

Verdict

The Justice Secretary’s claim that his government was “worried about Russian money for years” cannot be taken seriously. It was not worried enough for the ruling Conservative Party which Dominic Raab represents to turn down £2 million of Russian cash.

We approached Dominic Raab’s parliamentary office and the No 10 Press Office to give him a chance to comment, but received no response.
