When asked by Nick Robinson on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme “Do you believe this PM in this government maintains the highest possible standards in public life?”. Dominic Raab responded: “The pandemic has provided exceptional challenges. If you ask me whether I maintain the highest standards of integrity in public office, I’d say absolutely yes and I take that very seriously”

Verdict

This website documents a long series of false and misleading statements made by Dominic Raab during his time as a minister in the Johnson government. His claim to have maintained “the highest standards of integrity in public office” is pure nonsense. This was not the first time that Justice Secretary Dominic Raab made an incredible claim about high standards on the Today programme.  On 18th January 2022 he said: "We uphold the highest standards of principles in public life. That is critically important."

We approached Dominic Raab's office and the No10 Press Office to give him a chance to comment, but received no response.
